OCTOBER 16TH UPDATE ON OUR NEXT CARAMEL COLOR LITTER:  Scarlett, our caramel female, was due to have a litter of puppies by mid-October of 2023. As of of the 16th, we have confirmed that she did not conceive during her August heat cycle. Scarlett has past 8 years of age and her fertility has declined in recent years. We have decided to retire Scarlett from our breeeding program. However, two years ago we acquired a new female, Georgia, to take Scarlett's place in anticipation of Scarlett's fertility slowing down. Georgia will mate with Aramis (one of our "Breeder's Special Pick" litters) sometime in February of 2024, and will give birth sometime in April of 2024. Georgia is a wonderful young dam with awesome traits, personality, and beautiful appearance. She is slightly darker than Scarlett but Aramis is a lighter color Golden. Their pups from a lighter and darker parent mixture should produce puppy colors ranging from blonde to auburn.

For those who have placed a deposit on a male or female pup from Scarlett’s litter (1st or 2nd Priority) and you did not refuse to take a puppy from a previous litter, you have a several options to consider:
 

1. You can request a refund of your Priority puppy deposit. This will be your only chance to request a refund between now and November 27, 2023. If you do not request a refund, your deposit becomes non-refundable after November 27th, 2023 and will be rolled over automatically to Georgia's upcoming litter due in late April of 2024. You will keep your same place in line or higher up for Georgia's litter.
2. If you have previously put more than one deposit down and are already in line for any of our other upcoming litter colors, we can move your Caramel puppy deposit to your other reservation and all your deposits will go towards the purchase of a puppy from that litter.
3. You can create a new reservation for one of our other upcoming puppy litters due in the Spring of 2024, and move your deposit over to that new reservation. If you choose this option, you will be placed behind others who are already in line for that litter color and gender, and you will still be able to request a refund if you don't get get a puppy from your new reservation.
4. You can choose to roll your deposit over to Georgia's upcoming litter due to be born in April 0f 2024. Georgia will be mating with Aramis (Scarlett's mate from past Caramel litters). We are working to get pictures of Georgia up on our website and should have them by the end of May. You do not need to do anything if you want to choose this option and we will automatically roll your deposit over to Georgia's next litter. However if you choose this option, you can no longer request a refund of your deposit under any circumstance after November 27th, 2023. When you choose to roll your deposit over to any of our future litters, your deposit can be applied towards the purchase of a puppy from future litters. This protects you from losing your deposit.

If you would like to receive a refund of your Caramel litter puppy deposit (from Scarlett) rather than roll it over to Georgia's next  litter OR, if you want to make a new reservation on one of our other upcoming litter colors and move your deposit to the new reservation, please call us to make this request, then text or email us to confirm what you want to do in writing. If you simply want to roll your deposit over to Georgia's next litter in April 2024, you do not need to do anything, we will update your reservation automatically.

If you were on our Standby waiting list for a male or female pup from Scarlett’s Oct 2023 litter, we will move you to the Standby list for Georgia's next litter due in April 2024.

As of this date, we have confirmed that she did not conceive during her March heat cycle. Scarlett is approaching 8 years of age and her fertility has declined in recent years. We can not be sure that she will have any future litters, however, two years ago we acquired a new female, Georgia, to take Scarlett's place in anticipation of Scarlett's fertility slowing down. Georgia will mate with Aramis sometime in late May of 2023, and will give birth sometime in late July or early August of 2023. We had Scarlett examined by our Vet and she is perfectly healthy but may not be able to produce puppy eggs any longer during her heat cycles due to her age. We are planning to try to breed her again in the Fall of 2023. She is such a good momma and produces beautiful litters with great personalities and intelligence. Georgia, her replacement, is a wonderful young dam with awesome traits, personality, and beautiful appearance. She is slightly darker than Scarlett but Aramis is much lighter. Their pups from the lighter and darker parents together should produce a beautiful honey golden caramel litter in late July of 2023.

MARCH 13TH NEWS ON OUR NEXT CARAMEL COLOR LITTER: Good News! Scarlett (our Caramel color momma) started her heat cycle this week. Her heat cycle will last for 21 to 28 days, and the fertile mating period generally occurs 10 to 14 days into the cycle (sometime between Mar 23rd-30th). The gestation period is 63 days which would put the birth of our next Caramel color litter sometime between May 19th and 29th. This in turn, would make the pups ready to go home on or after July 21st (possibly a week later depending on the actual birth date).  If everything works out with what we are currently observing and Scarlett conceives, then those who are on the waiting list for her next liter will be picking your puppy either the week ending June 23rd or June 30th, and will be taking your puppy home possibly as early as July 21st. An additional Caramel litter is also planned for the Spring since we have so many people on the Caramel waiting list. We should have an update on Georgia (our dam), who will also be mating with Aramis (our sire) in the coming weeks.
